campbell. it's thursday, september 27th. we begin with an overnight police raid in downtown san francisco. officers moved in on an occupy camp at the federal reserve bank on market street. christien kafton joins us live with video you won't see anywhere else. good morning. >> reporter: yeah, now that the start is starting to come up, you can see this former site of the occupy protest at the foot of market 101 market. you can see it surrounded by a chain-link fence. right across the street you might see there is a small encampment of some of the occupiers returning to the area. police were out here overnight. they were out here this morning to -- to watch the site. they said they gave them every chance to avoid arrest. >> we gave them opportunity to vacate. some people did leave on their own. the other people who remained behind did get arrested for illegal lodging. >> reporter: san francisco police moved about 11:30 last night. last night was rough after police cleared the camp and seized their possessions. >> they took everybody's possessions, dogs, animals, whatever they had. i can't ev

"mornings on 2" starts now. >>> good morning. i'm dave clark. >> i'm tori campbell. >>> another young child is hit and killed on a busy novato street. it happened yesterday on novato boulevard and san marin drive. police say the girl, who was new to the area, was home when it happened. christien kafton has more. >> reporter: we're on the stretch of road where the fatal accident happened. first, now that the sun is up you can, you can see the trail where the middle schooler was hit. candles and teddy bears have been left here as a somber memorial. she was hit by a white suv. emergency crews rushed to the scene. the girl was taken by ambulance to novato hospital, then airlifted, where she was pronounced dead. authorities say the driver who hit the car stopped at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. >> it changes to 45 and then people really hit the gas coming out this way. >> reporter: i'm taking a live look at the memorial. you can see people have dropped off teddy bears an memorials and other remembrances. as you heard the neighbor talk about it a moment ago, there are definitel
morning. i'm tori campbell. it's monday, october 1st. >>> the search continues this morning for two missing men off the san mateo coast. lorraine blanco near hedgen point where the men disappeared where their boat capsized yesterday. good morning, lorraine. >> reporter: good morning, tori. i just got off the boat with the coast gurd. they say they have a cutter boat off the coast. the helicopter is climbing past us. an 18-foot stripper capsized around 10:30 -- i should say striper, capsized around 10:30, a little over 20 miles from hoof man bay. one of the missing men is pin you ming of san francisco. >> he's a good brother, good husband, good son to the family. >> reporter: we're told the two other men were taken to the hospital with hypothermia. the coast guard said fog made visibility difficult but they are mott sure what made the boat overturn. the men were not wearing life jackets. a coast guard went into the air a few minutes ago. during the live shot, we're gonna get closer and see if we can see them in the water searching for the men. lorraine blanco, ktvu channel 2 news. >>
campbell. it's tuesday october 2nd. we're following developing news of an early-morning fire in vallejo. ktvu channel reporter allie rasmus is live with the damage and information on how two people escaped the flames. good morning, allie. >> reporter: good morning. this fire started at:00 in the morning. now four hours later, investigators are going through the home trying to pinpoint what happened. firefighters are dousing the walls with water to make sure nothing flares up again. two people got out safely. more on that in a minute. first we want to show you the through. you can get a sense of how large this house is -- 3800 square feet. the size hans configuration of the house were both challenges for firefighters putting out this fire. so is the weather. it's warmer than unusual in vallejo and it is -- as it is in most pats. they had to bring in extra crews to relieve some of the firefighters who first responded to the fire. >> we went to three alarms on this. it -- it's a large house. it's an older house. my third alarm was to get crews on scene to help with the overall fire. >> rep
to "mornings on 2." i'm dave clark. >> i'm tori campbell. >>> five people are looking for temporary housing after a fire burned their home. ktvu channel 2 reporter claudine wong has been there since 4:30 this morning getting a close look at the damage. >> reporter: good morning, tori. we have daylight. we can get a look at the damage. you can see how hot this fire burned. there was a partial roof collapse this morning. so waiting for daylight was very important for investigations to make sure it was safe so they can figure out what areas are safe to go into as they try to figure this out. we just talked to a neighbor who practically could feel the heat of the fire from his deck. he told us what he saw. >> from what i could tell, it was another oakland hills fire. it was so intense and so big. i thought what's going on here? it was just the one house. but it was very scary. >> reporter: when he first saw the firefighter, the firefighters were not called get. they got a call at about 12:15 and they got here and saw the fire was surrounding threatening -- the fire was threatsenning surroundin
